Finishing & Retouching Overview

Our retouching services are provided for photos taken during your session with us. Finishing is the key to our unique style and is how individual photos are purchased from your session.

Images are typically purchased at $20.00 per photo, which include basic retouching and may include styling. A medium format print will be provided as well as a web ready version will also be available for download from the proofing engine when complete. Additional prints can be purchased at our normal Pro-Lab rate.

Basic/Standard Retouching

Basic retouching is included in the on any selected/ordered print. This includes minor blemish fixes, light skin tone blending and background leveling.

If your session was specifically shot for stylizing or with a certain style processing as the underlying theme, it will be included as part of the standard retouching.

Enhancement, major reworking of body rolls and creases, or major background element changes is not covered in basic retouching (see Advanced/Extensive Retouching).

Advanced/Extensive Retouching

For more advanced retouching, an evaluation is necessary on an image by image basis. Our hourly rate for advanced/enhanced retouching is $30.00 per hour, and we will provide and estimate for each image provided before any work is started. This will ensure there are no surprises.

Using Other Photos...

If you have a photograph from another photographer you want us to retouch, we will require that you have a full release from the photographer who shot the original photo and a full resolution electronic copy of the photo (preferably in RAW format). This will allow us to evaluate the photo to ensure it will make a quality finished image. Our hourly rate for retouching is $30.00 per hour, and we will provide and estimate for each image provided before any work is started.
